DOG GROOMING
As with our own human hair, regular brushing allows for the natural oils to disseminate throughout the coat of your dog. Depending on the breed of the dog – whether it has a short hair coat or long, brushing your dog might have to be an everyday occurrence or, for some breeds, rarely.
Grooming your dog is a fantastic bonding experience – enjoyed by both you and the dog. Any quality time spent together is of value.
The regular brushing removes the dead hair and stimulates the skins blood vessels which then release more nutrients to the hair follicle with the stimulation caused through the brushing.
It is important when selecting a brush that you use the correct type of dog grooming equipment that corresponds with your dog’s coat type. Obviously the breeds with long coats will need trimming on a regular basis. Just like in humans, split ends can occur and leave the coat with a frizz and tangle.
The Top Ten Dog Grooming Equipment Tools
- Nose scissors. It's important to check your canine for any stray hairs in that and any other delicate areas.
- Any good dog grooming combs are perfect for picking through the tangles and mats. Make sure to get the correct comb for your breed as dog coats vary in length.
- Specialist dog shampoo and a conditioner. Never use your human shampoo as it is ph balanced for your skin and not the dogs.
- A good quality canine brush – Brushing your dog daily can be great bonding time for you both and certainly help doggy look great all the time.
(Tip- If you brush against the grain of the fur, your dogs’ coat will become fuller and fluffy)
- Ear Wash, Dogs ears are breeding grounds for mites and fungus if not cleaned. Get one from your Vet or a pet supplier.
- Grooming shears or trimmers. The trimmers and shears come in a variety of styles and models and can vary in price. Top quality shears that may be slightly more expensive are usually best for long lasting tools.
- Dental scalers are effective for the dogs hygiene. Teeth cleaning at the vet can be really expensive so it might be a good idea to learn to do it yourself.
- Dog grooming clippers are definitely a key piece to your grooming arsenal. The nails need to be kept clipped – just make sure you get the right size clippers for your dog.
- Thinning Shears – especially in summer, with a long haired shaggy dog, thinning shears are an absolute essential.
- Dog grooming tubs and tables. Many people like to do the full grooming themselves – and why not? Save money and enjoy dog time!

I had to refresh the page times to view this page for some reason, however, the information here was worth the wait.
What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
Having studied behavioral psychology, this book makes a lot of sense. The book gives you tools to teach the most basic commands and tricks. If you can do that, then teaching your dog more advanced commands on your own will be easier. Training definitively builds a bond between an owner and his pet.
Admin I really like your site. I linked to your articles on my main site about the PSP 3000 so my followers will check out your blog also.
